Notes : on Diodorus Siculus : manuscript, [17--]

Notes from Gray's reading of Henri Etienne's 1559 edition of Diodorus' Bibliotheke historike. The notes concern the history, customs, gods and geography of Greece and Egypt and compare the chronological computations of Diodorus with other Greek historians, such as Xenophon, Thucydides, and Herodotus. Gray also offers interpretations for some of the disputed textual readings and genealogical tables of Hercules, Eurydice, Medea, the Centaurs, and others.
